Chief Development Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to drive growth and expansion of the organization.

This role would also require you to collaborate closely with senior leadership to advance the organization's vision. You will build and grow a team that will keep pace with the program growth and on-ground expansion, ensuring that annual fundraising targets are set and met through a coordinated approach, engaging all key stakeholders internally and externally.

You will work directly with internal teams to develop a pipeline of support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a strategic plan for fundraising with clear short-, medium-, and long-term objectives based on a shared vision of desired outcomes.
  • BUILD A DIVERSE NETWORK OF SUPPORTERS STRENGTHENING THE EXISTING NETWORK AND ADDING NEW CHAMPIONS AND DONORS.
  • Develop a diversified portfolio approach to fund raising in order to ensure effort and target distribution across different kinds of sources.
  • Proactively execute multiple aspects of the plan engaging high net worth individuals, corporations, foundations, and other pertinent entities.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in business, Social Sciences, or another related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience of having worked in a direct fundraising and partnership role with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • A driven and empathetic leader who can work across boundaries and get things done.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and comfort with the ambiguity of the fundraising universe.
