Job Title

A Category Operations Analyst will have the responsibility to deliver retail fundamentals related to inventory, price, and item listings to support business health.

The role will involve implementing operational routines and practices, including systems and tools, to drive successful business outcomes.

The success in this role will be determined by the ability to collaborate and partner with various cross-functional teams within and outside Target Plus and deliver outcomes taking into account complexities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Track performance, present improvement plans, and oversee the implementation of identified improvements to enhance efficiency and meet organizational objectives.
  • Seller Management: Ensure all partner and seller requests and queries are responded to within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Operational Productivity: Develop and implement process improvements to driver operational productivity and reduce waste.
  • Process Documentation: Create and improve training materials and process documentation for Category Operations team.
  • Data Analysis: Leverage data and insights to identify trends, detect issues, and support proactive decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Education: Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 4+ years of overall experience, preferably in retail.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools, effective planning, organizational, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally as well as written, together with storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and solving problems with structured problem-solving skills.
