Job Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled system reliability expert to join our team as a key member of the platform engineering organization. Your role will be to ensure the scalability and dependability of our cloud-based software platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and solution design.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve platform resilience with mitigation strategies and operational playbooks.
  • Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to enable proactive incident response.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and post-incident analyses.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support system dependability.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Optimize databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to deliver observable, resilient software.
  • Contribute to defining Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 2+ years' experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, or Software Engineering roles.
  • 1+ years' experience working on a cloud-based software platform.
  • Proficient in PHP/Laravel development.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and public cloud platforms.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred, Ansible or CloudFormation).
  • Scripting/automation skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Experience with observability tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Proven track record in maintaining high-dependability, high-performance production environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CI/CD tooling experience.
  • Relevant cloud/Kubernetes certifications.
  • MSSQL database management/performance tuning experience.
