Database Administrator Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to manage and maintain our SQL database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of MS SQL Database management, including experience with Failover Cluster, Always ON Setup, and server provisioning.

  • Monitor log files for errors and incidents
  • Ensure database availability through proactive monitoring and maintenance
  • Implement transaction replication and link servers to enhance data consistency and reliability
  • Purge database logs and trace files regularly to maintain optimal performance
  • Perform periodic configuration reviews to ensure consistent configurations
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain high database availability
  • Produce regular reports on database status and performance
  • Respond to database-related incidents and drive corrective action

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Extensive experience in team management (Must)
  • Proficiency in handling major incidents and root cause analysis
  • Strong skills in database installation and troubleshooting (Must)
  • Expertise in Always ON Cluster configuration and management (Must)
  • Failover Cluster management skills (Must)
  • Experience with patching and failover cluster and Always ON (Must)
  • Replication and link server configuration expertise (Must)
  • Database patching and hardening skills (Must)
  • Job scheduling and maintenance planning
  • Preparedness for POA and rollback plans on database migration (Must)
  • Planning and execution of new projects related to database management
  • Troubleshooting of database performance issues
