Job Summary :


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SQL Database Administrator with 3+ years of experience, including hands-on exposure to Azure SQL environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both on-premises SQL Server databases and cloud-based Azure SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :


- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL databases.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks including backups, restores, indexing, and statistics updates.

- Monitor and optimize database performance using SQL Profiler, DMVs, and Query Store.

- Manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions like SQL Server Always On, Azure Geo-Replication, and Failover Groups.

- Implement and manage Azure SQL Database, Azure Managed Instances, and related resources (e.g., Elastic Pools, Private

Endpoints).

- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, or Azure CLI.

- Ensure database security through access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance.

- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for schema deployments and performance tuning.

- Design and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures and system configurations.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Minimum of 3 years experience as a SQL DBA, including Azure SQL exposure.

- Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 and Azure SQL Database/Managed Instance.

- Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization techniques.

- Experience with Azure services such as Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Log Analytics.

- Familiarity with IAM roles, RBAC, and data encryption within Azure.

- Hands-on experience with database migration from on-premises to Azure.

- Solid understanding of backup/restore and disaster recovery strategies in both environments.

- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
