Senior Manager - Financial Markets Research

We are seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Senior Manager for our Centre of Excellence in Financial Markets.

  • Strategic Leadership:
  1. Develop and execute a long-term vision and strategy for our Centre.
  2. Establish programs and initiatives aligned with our mandate in financial markets research and education.
Education and Research Program Management:
  1. Support faculty-led research, student engagement, and visiting scholar initiatives.
  2. Organize training programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and certificate courses.
Industry and Stakeholder Engagement:
  1. Build partnerships with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other organizations.
  2. Organize seminars, panel discussions, and talks/lectures by industry experts.
Operational Oversight:
  1. Manage day-to-day administration, including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning.
  2. Supervise support staff, interns, and research associates.
Communication and Outreach:
  1. Oversee our Centre's visibility (online and offline), including publications, newsletters, and website updates.
  2. Represent us at conferences, academic forums, and industry meetings.
Requirements
  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of experience in academia, research institutions, regulatory bodies, financial services companies, industry associations, or other relevant organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage academic and research programs.
  • Understanding of financial markets, fintech, or quantitative finance is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience with academic institutions or research centres.
  • Strong professional network in finance or policy domains.
  • Familiarity with grant writing, fundraising, and donor engagement.
