Hedge Fund Analyst Role

Our team is looking for a skilled Hedge Fund Analyst to join our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets and be able to provide expert analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily NAV Calculations: Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly net asset value calculations for hedge fund portfolios.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Perform financial reconciliation between fund administrator reports, internal records, and prime broker statements.
  • Cash Position Management: Manage cash positions across custodians, banks, and internal systems.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in positions, pricing, fees, and expenses.
  • Periodic Closing: Support periodic closing processes, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Performance Metrics: Assist in performance metrics and investor reporting.
  • Trade Settlement: Coordinate with fund administrators, prime brokers, and custodians to ensure accurate trade settlement and reporting.
  • Portfolio Validation: Collaborate with portfolio managers and risk teams to validate portfolio data and performance metrics.
  • Process Enhancement: Participate in process enhancement initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's or professional certification like CFA/CPA is beneficial).
  • 2–5 years of experience in fund accounting or hedge fund operations, preferably with exposure to financial analysis and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments (equities, derivatives, fixed income, FX, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Investran, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
