Job Purpose
We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Business Growth Officer to lead our business development efforts, driving strategic growth initiatives and ensuring the successful acquisition and retention of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor a team of business development professionals to achieve sales targets.
- Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.
- Conduct regular team meetings to align strategies and review progress.
- Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and markets, and devise plans to target them.
- Collaborate with senior management to align business development initiatives with company goals.
- Client Engagement
- Build and nurture relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee the client acquisition process, ensuring that the team delivers a high level of service and meets client expectations.
- Engage with high-profile clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
- Sales Management
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
- Provide guidance and support to the team in closing deals and negotiating contracts.
- Develop and manage a sales pipeline to ensure a steady flow of business opportunities.
- Market Research & Analysis
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Conduct research to identify potential clients and emerging market trends.
- Use data-driven insights to refine business development strategies and improve lead generation efforts.
- CRM & Reporting
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate client records and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on business development activities, sales progress, and market trends to senior management.
- Ensure the team adheres to best practices in CRM usage and data management.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing team to align campaigns with business development goals.
- Partner with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development processes and tools.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales management, preferably in the IT industry.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Proven track record of leading successful business development teams and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of IT services and solutions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage a team across different time zones.
- Flexibility to work during US business hours.
