Job Overview

This position involves ensuring the quality of our digital products by conducting thorough testing and validation.

Responsibilities will include designing effective test cases, developing and executing test plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test Case Design
    • Design effective test cases based on business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents.
  • Test Planning and Execution
    • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for various types of testing.
    • Perform manual testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Defect Management
    • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Provide timely and detailed test execution status reports.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing by assisting business users and validating fixes.
Quality Assurance Practices
  • Follow industry best practices for QA, including risk-based testing and defect management.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and methodologies.

With 4 years' experience, additional expectations include mentoring junior testers, taking ownership of testing for assigned modules or projects, and providing input for test effort estimation and project planning.

Key Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Proficiency in writing test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Good understanding of different types of testing.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
