Job Description

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.

You will work closely with developers and senior QA engineers to resolve issues efficiently and follow automation best practices.

Additionally, you will contribute to the automation regression suite and maintain automation assets.

Key responsibilities include aligning test scripts with acceptance criteria and user stories, executing automated tests, and logging defects with detailed reproduction steps.

You will also identify and maintain reusable scripts for system-level and regression testing.

Furthermore, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with 1–3 years of experience in Guidewire functional and automation testing.

Minimum 2 years of experience in Guidewire policy center projects is required.

Hands-on experience with type-script automation tools such as Playwright or JavaScript-based frameworks like Cypress/Selenium is necessary.

Additionally, you should have hands-on experience in programming-based test automation toolsets and be part of test design for at least 2 years.

Experience in working with Git repositories is also essential.

Independently handling test code issue resolution, updates, and debugging is crucial.

Exposure to QA lifecycle tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, or equivalent is highly desirable.

Understanding of defect lifecycle management and test standards is expected.

Experience in test effort estimation and metrics reporting is also preferred.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are mandatory.

Knowledge of CI/CD and API & API testing tools like Karate, Postman, or RestAssured is beneficial.
