Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Guidewire tester to join our team.

This role involves developing and maintaining automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.

The ideal candidate will have experience in automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress/Selenium, and be able to independently handle test code issue resolution, updates & debugging.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain in-sprint automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.
  • Align test scripts with acceptance criteria and user stories.
  • Execute automated tests, log defects with detailed reproduction steps, and support defect triage.
  • Create and manage test data and environment configurations for automation.
  • Identify and maintain reusable scripts for system-level and regression testing.
  • Contribute to the automation regression suite and maintain automation assets.
  • Collaborate with developers and senior QA engineers to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Follow automation best practices and participate in peer reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
  • Support manual testing efforts when required, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Track and report QA metrics such as defect rates, test coverage, and productivity.
Requirements:
  • 1–3 years of experience in functional and automation testing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Guidewire policy center projects.
  • Hands-on experience with type-script automation tools such as Playwright or JavaScript based frameworks like Cypress/Selenium.
  • Experience with Programming based Test Automation toolset and participation in Test Design for at least 2 Years.
  • Exposure to QA lifecycle tools like JIRA or equivalent.
  • Understanding of defect lifecycle management and test standards.
  • Experience in test effort estimation and metrics reporting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge on CI / CD.
  • Knowledge of API & API testing tools like Karate, Postman or RestAssured.
Preferred Skills:
  • Exposure to unit testing and mobile testing.
  • Experience in improving test coverage and test strategy.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools & CI/CD tools.
