Design a Rural UX

As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for owning the design strategy and user experience of a geospatial AI platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning the design strategy and quarterly UX roadmap aligned to business goals.
  • Translating product requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fi designs using Figma and Miro.
  • Defining and maintaining design systems, UI patterns, and style guides to ensure visual and functional consistency.
  • Partnering with Product Owners to convert epics and user stories into design deliverables with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Conducting end-to-end user research: interviews, field visits, surveys, and usability testing with farmers, FPOs, and partners.

You will champion UX for rural contexts, collaborating closely with Engineering to ensure pixel-perfect handoff, clarity on design specifications, and smooth implementation.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years in UI/UX design, with at least 3 years designing for mobile-first products at scale.
  • Proven experience shipping rural customer-facing or mass-market apps with measurable adoption and engagement impact.
  • Hands-on experience conducting field research and usability testing with diverse user groups.

Leadership Competencies:

  • Clear communication; bridging gaps between design, product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Advocating for user needs while balancing business and technical priorities.
  • Decisive, detail-oriented, and iterative; bias for practical, actionable design solutions.

Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with AgTech user journeys, farmer-facing digital adoption, and rural UX patterns.
