Job Description

As a Geospatial Data Science Engineer, you will be working closely with customers to understand their needs and develop innovative data science solutions. This role involves conceptualizing and developing geospatial machine learning models using ESRI products, representing the organization at conferences and forums, and effectively communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Consult closely with customers to understand their business requirements and propose data science solutions.
  • Develop and pitch high-quality analytics systems that solve customers' business problems using techniques from data mining, statistics, and machine learning.
  • Build and deploy predictive models to production in a cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environment.
  • Implement best practices and patterns for geospatial machine learning and develop reusable technical components for demonstrations and rapid prototyping.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field with knowledge of remote sensing and geographic information systems.
  • Proven expertise in Python programming language, including data visualization using matplotlib and other libraries.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical and machine learning concepts, including calculus, back propagation, ReLU, Bayes' theorem, Random Forests, and time series analysis.
  • Experience with applied statistics concepts, including data extraction, transformation, loading, and hyperparameter-tuning.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
