Job Overview:

An accomplished Senior Manager is sought to spearhead end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring of a portfolio of personal loans through the digital journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive underwriting policies ensuring effective credit risk management
  2. Collaborate with data science teams to analyze and validate underwriting models for optimal performance
  3. Determine performance benchmarks and take corrective action in case of deviation from expected results
  4. Automate credit policies to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness
  5. Develop pricing strategies based on segmentation
  6. Standardize policies and processes for efficient operations
  7. Monitor portfolio profitability, funnel metrics, and risk thresholds

Performance Monitoring and Analysis:

  1. Analyze portfolio performance and recommend policy changes to senior leadership
  2. Conduct regular credit reviews of existing portfolios and identify high-risk segments
  3. Take proactive measures to mitigate identified risks
  4. Ensure delinquency rates meet company standards
  5. Identify technological solutions to improve existing processes
  6. Monitor portfolio performance and risk through various MIS

New Partner Integrations and Collaborations:

  1. Understand product offerings and target segments of new channel partners
  2. Request relevant data from channel partners for credit analysis
  3. Create policies based on product information and prevailing models
  4. Facilitate data room exercises for new customer segments
  5. Formulate policies considering expected loss rates
  6. Monitor implementation, UAT, and production testing of policies

Relationship Management and Qualifications:

Establish and maintain relationships with partners, credit reporting agencies, and assist in all credit operations. The ideal candidate will possess a postgraduate degree in Finance, Statistics, or Management from reputable institutions.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years experience, including 3-4 years in risk management and policy creation
  • Familiarity with risk performance and analytical tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with large datasets using data processing and statistical tools
