Mobile Automation Tester Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity to work as a Mobile Automation Tester where you will be responsible for developing and maintaining mobile automation scripts using Appium with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.

  • Develop and maintain automated test cases on cloud-based mobile device platforms like BrowserStack, Pcloudy, Perfecto, or Sauce Labs.
  • Work closely with QA, development, and product teams in Agile/Scrum settings to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage and track defects using JIRA, AIO Test, or other test management tools to ensure timely resolution.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, or equivalent tools to ensure efficient testing.
  • Provide regular test reports and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives to ensure team alignment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in mobile automation testing with expertise in Appium for Android and iOS testing.
  • Strong command over BDD using Cucumber and ability to work with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with defect lifecycle management using JIRA, AIO Test, and other test management tools.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub, etc., and ability to integrate automated tests.
  • Exposure to at least one cloud-based testing platform (BrowserStack, Pcloudy, Perfecto, Sauce Labs).
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience in the Retail domain or eCommerce testing.
  • Knowledge of API testing or hybrid test frameworks.
