Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the software quality assurance team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for API, web, and synthetic monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation. A strong background in automation testing tools and frameworks, particularly Cypress, is essential. Experience with synthetic monitoring tools and AWS services is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop robust automated test frameworks for API, web, and synthetic monitoring.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Cypress.
  • Automate API testing to ensure the functionality, reliability, and performance of backend services.
  • Implement and manage synthetic monitoring solutions to proactively identify application performance issues.
  • Use AWS services to manage and scale test environments and infrastructure.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to deliver high-quality products.
  • Analyze test results, pinpoint defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Help improve testing processes and methodologies.
  • Mentor junior team members on automation best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation.
  • Demonstrable experience with automation testing tools and frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in API testing using tools like Postman or Rest-Assured.
  • Experience with synthetic monitoring tools.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services.
  • Proven background in the automobile industry.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
