Quality Assurance Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products. This includes developing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

About the Role:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Amazon, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of software applications and technologies. You will be responsible for creating detailed test plans, defining quality metrics, and gathering test requirements. In addition, you will collaborate with development teams to identify and prioritize testing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Identify and report defects in software applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve software quality
  • Create detailed test plans and define quality metrics to measure product quality

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in quality assurance engineering
  • Experience in manual testing and automation testing
  • Experience scripting or coding
  • Experience as QA lead on medium to large-sized projects
  • Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (UI, API, and AI) and automation experience
  • Reporting skills, proficient in creating status reports based on automation results
  • Shows creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness
  • Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate impacts and to understand business requirements
  • Experience with API automation testing including unit test automation frameworks
