Role Description :

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for executing tests, developing test cases, conducting manual and software testing, and ensuring overall quality assurance. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as reviewing requirements, identifying test scenarios, executing test cases, and reporting defects.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Strategy & Planning :

- Define, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and API applications.

- Participate in requirement reviews and provide QA perspective on feasibility, risks, and improvements.

Automation & Tools :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.

- Implement and manage continuous testing pipelines in CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

Functional & Non-functional Testing :

- Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.

- Work with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust, Gatling) to identify bottlenecks.

Defect Management :

- Identify, log, and track defects in tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.

- Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.

Collaboration & Mentoring :

- Guide and mentor junior QA engineers.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of high-quality releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 5+ years of professional QA experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.

- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing types, and SDLC/STLC.

- Proficiency in test automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).

- Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
