Electrical Superintendent Job Description

This is a high-level leadership position that oversees the maintenance and operation of electrical, automation, navigation, and communication equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Strategies: Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies for electrical equipment, considering operational risk and stakeholder input.
  • Innovation: Identify and propose cost-effective technologies that reduce carbon footprint and improve profitability.
  • Data Management: Maintain a database of life-cycle upgrades, equipment failures, and root cause analyses for electrical equipment, informing data-driven decisions across the fleet.
  • Budgeting: Timely propose yearly budgets for fleet groups, staying up-to-date with industry rules and requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendors as needed, providing feedback to category management teams.
  • Procurement: Liaise with procurement teams to purchase stores and spares, ensuring timely delivery at optimal costs.
  • Financial Management: Ensure timely approval of requisitions and invoices within areas of responsibility.
