Senior Electrical Engineerrenewable energy plantsolar/wind energy systemsKey Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operation and maintenance of all electrical systems in the plant, including transformers, switchgear, substations, and SCADA systems.
  • Oversee grid connectivity and ensure stable, compliant integration with utility networks.
  • Troubleshoot faults in inverter systems, protection circuits, and balance of plant (BoP) electrical infrastructure.
  • Lead implementation of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies.
  • Conduct performance analysis, identify inefficiencies, and recommend system upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with CEA, IEC, IEEE, ISO, and local DISCOM regulations.
  • Coordinate with power evacuation teams, external consultants, and OEMs.
  • Monitor and manage plant load, reactive power, harmonics, grounding systems, and power quality.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for O&M and capital expenditure on electrical systems.
  • Support development and commissioning of new renewable projects or capacity expansions.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians in electrical safety and best practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in plant operations.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Grid-tied and off-grid systems
  • HT/LT distribution, transformers, relays, and switchgear
  • SCADA/PLC systems, RTUs, and communication protocols
  • Power system protection and control
  • Proficient in tools like ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, PVSyst, or similar.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical safety standards, energy metering, and SCADA-based monitoring.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
Preferred Certifications:
  • CEA-certified Electrical Engineer (if in India)
  • Certification in Renewable Energy Systems or Energy Management
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent
