Establishing a new medical billing team in the US requires an experienced professional with end-to-end knowledge of the revenue cycle, including medical billing, coding, prior authorization, denial management, and insurance verification. This role involves setting up processes, training staff, and ensuring compliant and high-quality delivery for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of experienced billers and coders to establish standard operating procedures, workflows, and performance metrics from scratch.
  • Manage RCM operations including medical billing & coding, prior authorizations, payer credentialing, US healthcare insurance verification, charge entry & payment posting, denials management, accounts receivable (AR) follow-ups, and ensure HIPAA compliance and process efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify and resolve bottlenecks to improve revenue cycle efficiency, and provide regular reports and actionable management insights to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in US RCM, with 3+ years in a billing manager/supervisor role, and strong expertise in medical billing, coding, prior authorization, denial management, and insurance verification.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, and major PM/EHR systems.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong leadership presence and decision-making skills.
Team Setup & Leadership
  • Establish SOPs, workflows, and performance metrics from the ground up to ensure efficient and compliant team operations.
Performance & Quality Control
  • Monitor KPIs such as AR days, First Pass Resolution Rate, and Denial % to ensure optimal revenue cycle performance.
