
Culinary Operations Manager

**Job Overview:**
This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of a workstation engaged in preparing and cooking food products.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as Chef De Partie/Demi Chef De Partie and possess strong management skills in a multicultural environment.
They will be responsible for assigning duties and responsibilities to employees, controlling over time, and ensuring that food items are prepared according to corporate recipe standards.
The successful candidate will also provide on-the-job training to strengthen the performance of entry-level cooks and chefs.
The following are some key responsibilities:
- Supervises assigned workstation functions and assigns duties and responsibilities to employees.
- Ensures food items are prepared according to corporate recipe standards.
- Provides on-the-job training to entry-level cooks and chefs.
- Conducts an inventory of workstation storage and determines day's food requirements.
- Prepares daily requisitions and applies HACCP and onboard sanitation, hygiene standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills.
They will also have intermediate computer software skills and a good understanding of basic accounting principles.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of experience in upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service.
- Culinary school degree required.
- Strong management skills in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
