As a seasoned Scrap Metal Trader, you will leverage your expertise to identify and source scrap metal from diverse suppliers, including industrial manufacturers, demolition companies, and recycling facilities. You will also negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers and buyers to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Sourcing: Develop and maintain a network of reliable suppliers to meet the demands of our clients.
  2. Negotiation: Utilize excellent communication skills to negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers and buyers.
  3. Sales: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities to expand our market share.
  4. Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting the scrap metal industry to inform decision-making and strategy.
  5. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate scrap metal shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations.
  6. Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and environmental standards governing the scrap metal trading industry.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in scrap metal trading, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  3. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build rapport and establish long-term relationships.
  5. Strong analytical skills and market acumen.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with trading software and platforms.
