Facilities Maintenance Director

The Facilities Maintenance Director oversees the upkeep of all plant utilities, mechanical systems, and equipment across the pharmaceutical facility to ensure reliable operation.

  • Leverage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for electrical, mechanical, utility, and process equipment.
  • Guarantee the integrity of critical utilities including boilers, chillers, generators, and water purification systems for optimal energy efficiency, minimal downtime, and continuous operation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Steer installation, commissioning, and qualification processes for new equipment and systems.
  • Manage high-tension/low-tension electrical systems including transformers, switchgears, panels, cabling, and substations.
  • Oversee mechanical utilities and process equipment such as HVAC systems, purified water systems, and other vital utilities.
  • Coordinate project schedules, review FATs, drawings, BOQs, and vendor documentation.
  • E nsure maintenance activities comply with GMP, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections, guarantee quality execution, and resolve technical issues during installation or operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, progress reports, SOPs, and process invoices in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional departments for project support and plant operations.
  • Implement and enhance maintenance best practices, cost control, and reliability strategies.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Root Cause Analysis: Strong analytical skills to identify and rectify underlying issues in equipment failures and system inefficiencies.
  • CMMS Proficiency: Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems for tracking, planning, and optimizing maintenance activities.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Accuracy in maintaining technical documentation, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance records.
  • Energy Management Awareness: Understanding of energy-efficient practices and optimization of utility consumption.
