The role of the Strategic Account Manager is a key position within our organization, focusing on managing and growing e-commerce marketplace businesses across various platforms. This senior-level client-facing role combines strategic planning, operational execution, and account growth to support enterprise clients in achieving revenue and gross merchandise value (GMV) goals.
- Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for marketplace clients, ensuring alignment and satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships with clients, platform stakeholders, and internal teams through regular communication and collaboration.
- Marketplace Strategy & Execution
- Develop data-driven strategies aligned with industry trends and client objectives.
- Monitor competitor performance and execute initiatives such as seasonal selling, global expansion, and fulfillment optimization.
- Performance Optimization
- Track and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) like sell-through rate, fulfillment lead times, and pricing effectiveness.
- Identify and resolve technical listing, feed, or policy issues with engineering support.
- Account Growth & Renewal Management
- Identify opportunities for account growth and lead conversations on new marketplaces, ad tools, or catalog expansion.
- Support renewal processes by demonstrating clear return on investment (ROI).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 3–9 years of experience managing e-commerce marketplace accounts.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into clear strategies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with retail marketplace tools and seller portals preferred.
