Job Title - Plant Quality Manager

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes at our manufacturing facility. This includes ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality objectives.

This leader will oversee the implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of reliability and safety. The successful candidate will lead a team of quality professionals and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all stages of production.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Monitor and control quality processes across all stages of production.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians to achieve quality objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Drive initiatives for process optimization, defect reduction, and quality improvement using tools like Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis.
  • Oversee testing procedures to ensure product reliability and safety.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer queries, complaints, and audits.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Identify potential quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate them.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the LV electrical panel or similar electrical manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of LV electrical panel design, manufacturing processes, and testing standards.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in QMS, Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
    • Proficiency in quality tools like FMEA, Pareto charts, and root cause analysis.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software.
