Job Overview

The position of a Technical Support Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of access control and CCTV systems. This role involves configuring, monitoring, and maintaining software and hardware to guarantee optimal performance.

A key requirement for this position is the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of security technology.

  • Configure, monitor, and maintain access control and CCTV systems' software and hardware.
  • Provide technical support and diagnose issues related to access control, CCTV systems, and other CSI applications.
  • Offer remote assistance to internal clients on system configuration.
  • Identify and analyze system failures, providing support to on-site technicians as needed.
  • Track system issues until resolution within agreed time limits.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to relevant internal teams.

Additional responsibilities include responding promptly and professionally to emergency service calls during business hours and off-hours, collaborating with team members to establish best practices, acting independently as required, and reporting to senior management to ensure job satisfaction.

Qualifications/Competencies/Requirements
  • Engineering degree in Electronics or Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of access control and CCTV systems, experience in installation and maintenance of these systems is beneficial.
  • Experience with CCURE 9000 and CCURE GO software, along with related hardware (e.g., iStar controller), and their integration.
  • Familiarity with enterprise CCTV systems like Intellicene (Cognyte/Verint), Symphia VMS, Genetec video solutions, etc.
  • Experience with Windows Server Operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2016, 2019).
  • Knowledge of SQL is advantageous.
  • Experience with PowerShell programming.
