Tender Manager Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tender Manager to lead our team's tendering and proposal development process for projects in carbon markets, renewable energy, and sustainability initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire tendering process from preparation to submission, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with client and sector requirements.

  • Manage the preparation and submission of tenders, RFPs, EOIs, and bids.
  • Review tender documents and identify key requirements, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to compile inputs, cost estimates, and supporting materials.
  • Draft high-quality technical and commercial proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of templates, case studies, credentials, and standard bid documents.
  • Track and monitor relevant opportunities from government bodies, corporates, and international organizations.
  • Ensure timely submission of proposals and post-submission follow-up with clients and partners.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant degree in a field related to climate change or sustainability.
  • 2-6 years of experience in tender management with a focus on carbon markets, renewable energy, and sustainability projects.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering procedures in government, corporate, or donor-funded projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate across departments and manage multiple deadlines.
