Database Specialist: Healthcare Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create test environments for data integration and quality assurance
  • Triage and prepare data requests for team members, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy
  • Monitor and provide regular status updates to managers on ongoing projects and pending tasks
  • Maintain accurate mappings of customer data to relevant codes and classifications
  • Produce high-quality data files for strategic customers or vendors, adhering to strict formatting and content standards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience in a related field, preferably with a focus on healthcare operations
  • Clinical acumen and a strong understanding of medical terminology and concepts
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas within a peer group
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL database management systems, including data analysis and visualization tools
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies, with a focus on data mapping and file generation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with a focus on data-driven decision making
  • Strong understanding of medical coding systems and classification protocols
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
