Energy Storage Engineer Job Opening

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Storage Engineer to lead the development of electrical systems for battery-based energy storage systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for battery-based energy storage systems, including PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA designs.
  • Familiarize yourself with applicable codes, standards, and regulations in the USA.
  • Lead due diligence and owner's engineer activities, reviewing technical documents and installations to ensure compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date on current battery technologies and their characteristics, and apply this knowledge to battery parameter analysis.
  • Develop and implement FAT and integration test plans for BESS systems, and conduct technical reviews of vendor-provided documents.
  • Manage bids and projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform electrical testing using proper PPE and procedures.
  • Participate in manufacturer-approved training sessions to stay current on equipment operation and maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems).
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; Ph.D. holders in similar fields are also welcome.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical knowledge/training, specifically in BESS.
  • Excellent organization, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong client management, team management, and process management skills.
  • Knowledge of other electrical and PV software is an added advantage.
