As a senior director of product reliability, you will be responsible for leading the overall strategy and implementation of reliability across design, testing, manufacturing, and field performance for complex electro-mechanical products.

  • Create a comprehensive product reliability plan that integrates design, testing, manufacturing, and field performance to ensure optimal product performance and minimize failures.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, research and development, and systems engineering to embed reliability into early design stages and drive measurable improvements.
  • Work with operations and quality teams to monitor manufacturing consistency, identify systemic issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent defects and improve process efficiency.
  • Partner with field service and customer success teams to collect, analyze, and respond to real-world performance data and customer feedback to inform future designs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and drive reliability testing programs, including accelerated life testing, environmental testing, stress testing, and statistical validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead root cause analysis on field and test failures, ensuring closed-loop learning feeds back into future designs to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Built and scale a high-performing reliability engineering team with strong analytical and experimental capabilities to support business growth and expansion.
  • Presents reliability metrics and insights to executive leadership, supporting product roadmap and risk management decisions to optimize business outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and certification requirements through effective risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
  • 15+ years of experience in product reliability, systems engineering, or product development, preferably with experience in the electro-mechanical industry
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional reliability programs for complex products, driving measurable improvements and reducing costs
  • Deep knowledge of reliability engineering tools and methodologies (FMEA, Weibull analysis, HALT/HASS, DFMEA, etc.)
  • Background in reliability engineering or industrial equipment is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to bridge engineering and operational teams to drive meaningful improvements and increase productivity
  • Strong data analysis skills; proficiency with reliability modeling tools and statistical software
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
