Accounting Specialist Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our organization. As an integral part of the finance team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reports, including journals, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality financial reporting with strict adherence to accounting standards, IFRS, GAAP, and internal policies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain data quality and accuracy throughout the financial process.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to achieve business objectives and provide exceptional service to customers.
  • Develop and implement processes to enhance financial performance and improve overall efficiency.
  • Provide expert support on revenue accounting, fixed assets, and variance analysis, as well as other key areas of financial management.

Requirements:

  • Chartered accountants with 0-4 years of relevant experience in multinational companies (MNCs) or captive environments.
  • Proficiency in core accounting, accounting standards, IFRS, and GAAP.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of revenue accounting, PPE, variance analysis, trial balance, and balance sheet commentary.
  • Hands-on experience with journal entries, month-end activities, book closings, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Oracle Accounting ERPs, and balance sheet tools like Blackline and Trintech.
  • Ability to effectively utilize systems, enter/validate data into relevant systems, and maintain accurate records.

Desirable Skills:

  • SAP or Oracle end-user experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of financial work.
  • Understanding of controls, compliance, and policy adherence.
