Seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to provide thorough and competitive cost/pricing analysis in the bid and proposal process. The successful candidate must be able to manage the overall cost/pricing process, while ensuring the effective analysis of customer requirements, development of competitive bid pricing and contribution to winning proposals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of their specialty and be able to work on problems of a diverse scope with minimal instruction. They will be responsible for drafting strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects, creating reports reflecting metrics and project status, client level P&L, objectives and KPIs.
The successful candidate will also be able to communicate findings effectively to relevant departments of the company, work with the sales and delivery teams to define pricing structure for company services offered, and identify ideal pricing structures and sales funnels.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Draft strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects
  2. Create reports reflecting metrics and project status, client level P&L, objectives and KPIs
  3. Communicate findings effectively to relevant departments of the company
  4. Work with the sales and delivery teams to define pricing structure for company services offered
  5. Able to effectively read and understand technical/requirement documents as well as legal documents such as customer contracts
  6. Scope out opportunities based on market trends and industry condition
  7. Identify ideal pricing structures and sales funnels
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
  3. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  4. Proven experience developing clear and accurate deliverables from SME and technical source materials
  5. Prior experience building pricing models
  6. Must be able to think critically and develop well-reasoned analysis; identify the relevance and importance of information, understand the logical connections between ideas, and solve problems systematically as well as creatively
  7. Must have strong interpersonal skills, with the capability to build consensus and partnership
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience contributing to RFP responses
  2. Experience working and delivering to the SDLC process
  3. Experience with data analytics
  4. Experience in managed service and technology
  5. Experience in creating sales reports and sales forecasts
  6. Experience in interpreting market trends
