Senior Compliance Lead

A progressive and inclusive professional is required to lead the Compliance function. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with labour laws, developing and implementing systems for statutory compliance, maintaining updated knowledge of labour legislations, and liaising with statutory bodies.

About this Role

This Senior Compliance Lead will oversee the end-to-end management of contract workforce, ensure proper licensing, registration, and contractor compliance, monitor contractor adherence to wages, working hours, safety, and welfare provisions, and conduct regular audits.

Responsibilities
  1. Compliance: Ensure compliance with labour laws, develop and implement systems for statutory compliance, maintain updated knowledge of labour legislations, and liaise with statutory bodies.
  2. Policy and Process Management: Draft, review, and implement HR policies and SOPs, conduct regular training and awareness sessions, and ensure alignment with legal requirements and organizational values.
  3. Industrial Relations: Build and maintain harmonious relations with unions, works committees, and worker representatives, anticipate and mitigate potential IR risks through proactive engagement and transparent communication.
  4. Contract Labour Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of contract workforce, ensure proper licensing, registration, and contractor compliance, monitor contractor adherence to wages, working hours, safety, and welfare provisions, and conduct regular audits.
Requirements
  1. 10 years of HR experience with a strong background in contract labour management, compliances, and industrial relations.
  2. Postgraduate in Human Resources, Labour Welfare, IR, Law or equivalent.
  3. Expertise in Source to Contract, contract management, and supplier relationship development.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Factories Act, Shops and Establishment Act, and other key labour legislations.
