The Role of a Chief Academic Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished academic leader to serve as our Chief Academic Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our academic programs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develops and implements strategies to enhance the academic reputation and standing of our institution.
  • Ensures alignment with global standards and emerging trends in education and healthcare.
  • Research and Innovation:
  • Fosters a vibrant research culture by supporting faculty and students in scholarly activities, publishing, and securing research funding.
  • Strengthens institutional frameworks and administrative systems to facilitate cutting-edge research.
  • Institutional Governance:
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and oversees statutory bodies such as the Academic Council.
  • Maintains governance, transparency, and accountability within the institution.
  • External Engagement:
  • Represents the university at national and international platforms to build visibility and reputation.
  • Establishes partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare providers, research bodies, and industries.
  • Student Success:
  • Champions student welfare, mentoring, career readiness, and holistic development.
  • Creates a safe, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating campus environment.

A distinguished academician with teaching experience in a reputable institution is required. A medical Doctor or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from a premier institution with experience in academic education, research, curriculum development, administration, and management is preferred.
