Job Description

Analog Devices is seeking a seasoned Senior Engineer, Digital Design to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and contribute to the design of cutting-edge digital systems. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and integrating digital blocks, working closely with the Architecture team to define specifications and development plans.

You will have the opportunity to design key digital components, such as accelerators and datapath IP, using Verilog and SystemVerilog. Your expertise in digital logic design, control path, and data-path concepts will enable you to realize correct-by-construction solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed specification, uArch, and development plans in collaboration with the Architecture team
  • Design key digital blocks, including accelerators and datapath IP, with built-in configurability for Power/Performance/Area tradeoffs
  • Develop strong understanding of heterogeneous processor cores and subsystems (ARM/RISC-V/DSP core) and their integration requirements
  • Design User Guides for RTL Integration, Synthesis, Lint/CDC waivers, DFT, PnR, Programming Sequence, characterization, etc.
  • Evaluate 3rd party IPs on Power/Performance/Area and other qualitative aspects, making recommendations as needed
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to small teams of Micro-architects/RTL developers working on an SoC
  • Work closely with the verification team for vPlan reviews and complex debugs to resolve verification failures
  • Participate in design specification, microarchitecture, and verification sign-off reviews
  • Improve flows and methodologies to streamline IP development and integration
Requirements
  • Minimum B.E./B.Tech degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science
  • 5-8 years of digital logic design experience with hands-on RTL coding using Verilog and SystemVerilog
  • Strong understanding of control path and data-path digital design concepts with an eye for realizing correct-by-construction solutions
  • Experience with specifying Design Verification (DV) requirements, such as test plans, coverage metrics, and evaluating DV quality
  • Knowledge of Lint, CDC, formal equivalence, DFT concepts, power analysis
  • Experience with developing timing constraints and carrying out logic synthesis and Static timing analysis
  • Good interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills to drive discussions with geographically dispersed teams
Benefits

Analog Devices offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Location

This role is based in Analog Devices' headquarters in Wilmington, Massachusetts, USA. Some travel may be required, approximately 10% of the time.
