HVAC Design Engineer Position Overview

The role of an HVAC Design Engineer involves maintaining and performing repairs on all refrigeration equipment. This includes troubleshooting all HVAC equipment, performing repairs on coolers, and managing metal duct components.

The engineer will be responsible for installing all HVAC systems, monitoring emergency alarms, and repairing ventilating and air conditioning units. Additionally, the engineer will manage data center applications, operate centrifugal chillers, and maintain dehumidification systems.

In this capacity, the engineer will oversee maintenance activities for various technicians, design enhancements to conservation programs for electricity and natural gas, and assist with plant instrumentation. The engineer will also troubleshoot equipment, ensure compliance with EPA regulations, and provide support to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair refrigeration equipment
  • Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and coolers
  • Manage metal duct components and install HVAC systems
  • Monitor emergency alarms and repair ventilating and air conditioning units
  • Manage data center applications and operate centrifugal chillers
  • Maintain dehumidification systems and oversee technician maintenance activities
  • Design enhancements to conservation programs and assist with plant instrumentation
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations and provide customer support
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC design and installation
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
