About the Role:

">

We are seeking an experienced Switchgear Design Specialist with expertise in designing UL-compliant switchgear. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, ability to work independently, and proficiency in CAD design software.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Create detailed designs for enclosures, busbar supports, frames, and layouts for switchgear.">
  • Develop 2D/3D CAD models, fabrication drawings, and BOMs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.">
">

Standards & Compliance:

">
  • Ensure designs comply with UL 1558 (Switchgear), UL 891 (Switchboards), UL 508A (Control Panels), UL 67 (Panelboards).">
  • Consider IP/NEMA ratings, CSA and IEC standards, thermal management, and safety requirements.">
">

Integration & Collaboration:

">
  • Interpret electrical schematics to ensure proper mechanical/electrical integration.">
  • Collaborate with electrical designers to provide fully integrated solutions.">

Engineering Considerations:

">
  • Address thermal management, mechanical strength, structural stability, and vibration.">
  • Validate designs for manufacturability, reliability, and compliance.">

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of switchgear design principles and experience working with UL-compliant designs.">
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.">
  • Proficiency in CAD design software and solid modeling techniques.">
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.">
