Job Overview

To lead the mechanical maintenance function of an automotive sheet metal manufacturing facility, ensuring maximum machine uptime, reliability, and cost efficiency across fabrication, welding, paint shop, utilities, and assembly lines.

This role involves planning and execution of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules for all production and utility equipment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with robotic welding, paint shops, CNC fabrication equipment, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and ensure availability of critical spares.
  • Lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians across multiple shifts, guiding them in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct skill upgradation programs for maintenance staff on new technologies such as robotics, PLC, and automation.
  • Apply TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and root cause analysis (RCA) techniques to reduce repetitive breakdowns and improve overall efficiency.
  • Drive automation upgrades and energy-saving initiatives to optimize maintenance costs while improving machine reliability.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the auto/auto-component or sheet metal industry.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, automation, and control systems.
