Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes Platform Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure group, you will be responsible for designing, setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters on-premises using Nutanix.

Main Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Handle cluster lifecycle tasks like upgrades, scaling, high availability and disaster recovery">
  • Automate cluster setup and configuration using tools like kubeadm, Helm and Ansible">
  • Set up and manage RBAC, pod security policies, network policies and secrets">
  • Configure production-ready networking (CNI), storage (CSI) and ingress controllers">
  • Lead root cause analysis for performance problems, failures or outages">
  • Set up and integrate monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or Splunk">
  • Troubleshoot issues to keep the cluster stable and always available">
  • Build CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions to deploy microservices">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">

7-8 years of Linux and container experience with 4+ years in Kubernetes (on-premises)

">

Strong hands-on experience with kubeadm, Helm and deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals

">

Experience with bare-metal provisioning, VM infrastructure and storage solutions

">

Familiarity with Helm, ingress controllers like NGINX or Traefik and cert-manager

">

Practical experience with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and Grafana

">

Good understanding of networking in Kubernetes, ingress setup and optionally service mesh

">

Strong troubleshooting and monitoring skills using Kubernetes-native and external tools

">

Experience with Docker and deploying applications through CI/CD pipelines

">

Solid understanding of Kubernetes security and best practices in on-prem environments
