System Administrator Role

Job Description:

As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for monitoring the stability of our products using internal tools and handling incident response, troubleshooting, and fixes for various products/services. You will also handle escalations as per policies/procedures and work with our infrastructure team to deploy and maintain Linux/Windows servers using automated scripts and a predefined runbook.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have a good understanding of Linux Systems, including shell/bash, sed/awk/grep/egrep, VI/VIM/Emacs, netstat, lsof, strace, ps/top/atop/dstat, grub boot config & systems rescue, fstab/disk labels, ext3/ext4, IPtables, sysstat (sar/vmstat/iostat etc), run-levels & startup scripts, sudo/chroot/chkrootkit/rkhunter. Knowledge of Windows, DNS & Networking, TCP/UDP, IP Routing, HA & Load Balancing Concepts, Application Protocols (SMTP, HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP) is also essential.

Shift Requirements:

This role requires flexibility to work in shifts, including nights and holidays. Must be willing to participate in 24x7 shifts and handle emergency situations as needed.
