Job Title

A Strategic Communication Specialist plays a pivotal role in an organization's success, serving as the primary liaison between the public, media, and key stakeholders.

  • Communication Strategy: Develops and implements comprehensive communication programs to advance organizational goals, foster public understanding, and build strategic partnerships.
  • Media Relations: Serves as the main point of contact for media inquiries, crafting compelling press releases, responding to public and press questions, and monitoring media coverage of organizational activities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represents the organization at institutions, policy maker meetings, civic gatherings, and community events, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective messaging.
  • Policy Support: Provides strategic counsel on policy formulation, assesses potential public reactions to proposed actions, and assists in articulating policy statements that align with organizational objectives.
  • Content Development: Creates engaging newsletters, brochures, presentations, social media materials, and reports that cater to internal and external stakeholders' needs.
  • Research & Analysis: Conducts thorough research, analyzes public opinion and regulatory trends, and prepares impact assessments and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Program Coordination: Oversees outreach activities, educational initiatives, facility tours, public events, and emergency preparedness communications, ensuring timely execution and optimal results.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Tracks public and media perceptions, recommends improvements for communication effectiveness, and provides regular updates to management.

Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strategic thinking, advocacy abilities, project management expertise, and the capacity to analyze, interpret, and present information in a clear and compelling manner. A master's degree in Public Affairs or a related field is preferred.
