Public Policy Executive

About the Role

The Public Policy team plays a vital role in navigating complex regulatory environments and driving business success within India's policy framework. This team collaborates closely with government bodies, regulatory departments, and key stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policy strategies that align with business goals, fostering a culture of proactive decision-making.
  • Represent the organization's interests with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders at local, state, and national levels.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to identify emerging opportunities and challenges that may impact the business.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership on key policy matters, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Design and execute strategies to address critical legislative, regulatory, and public policy proposals, driving business growth and success.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in policy-related matters, offering tactical and strategic advice to senior leadership.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across regulatory, industry, and business networks, driving collaboration and results.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in public policy and regulatory affairs, with a strong focus on the Indian market.
  • A robust network of stakeholders, including senior-level connections, with the ability to effectively interact at the highest levels.
  • An in-depth understanding of the policy climate in India, combined with sound business judgment and practical common sense.
  • Ability to anticipate emerging issues of importance to the organization, communicate their impact to senior management, and develop effective strategies to address them.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
