Executive Marketing Leader Job Description

Marketing leaders who excel in this role help businesses grow by creating and executing effective marketing strategies.

The successful candidate will lead the growth marketing engine, manage multi-channel demand generation (ABM + inbound + performance), standardize lifecycle journeys with sales/BDR, and build the analytics stack that ties every dollar to revenue.

  • Growth Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop annual growth plans with measurable targets.
  • Demand Generation & ABM:
    • Run multi-touch ABM for key accounts; orchestrate LinkedIn, email, webinars, events, retargeting campaigns.
  • Performance & Inbound:
    • Own paid search/social/display campaigns; lead SEO/content pillars (B2B, credit risk); launch/high-convert landing pages and calculators (e.g., B2B sample, LEI renewal, Credit Recovery Services).
  • Lifecycle & Sales Alignment:
    • Design scoring, routing, and nurture journeys; set/enforce BDR SLAs (speed-to-lead, MQL→SQL); deliver sales enablement materials (decks, case studies, battlecards).
  • Analytics & Ops:
    • Build a single source of truth (GA4 + CRM + ad platforms + call tracking + product analytics); run A/B tests; manage attribution, forecasting, and weekly growth reviews.
  • Brand & Partnerships:
    • Drive thought leadership; plan event calendars and co-marketing with industry partners; measure ROI.
  • Team & Vendors:
    • Lead a team of marketers (Perf Mktg, Content/SEO, Marketing Ops); manage creative/PR/SEO agencies and martech vendors.

Requirements:

  • 7–12 years in B2B growth/demand gen for fintech/data/BFSI (India) with owned pipeline targets and measurable revenue impact.
  • Channel Mastery: Proven ABM + inbound playbook; strong SEO/content and paid acquisition execution at scale.
  • Revenue Ops: Hands-on with lead scoring/routing, lifecycle automation, attribution modeling, and funnel diagnostics.
  • Tools: HubSpot/Salesforce (or equivalent CRM/MA), GA4/Tag Manager, LinkedIn Ads/Google Ads, PostHog or Mixpanel, Semrush/Ahrefs; Sheets/Excel power user; comfort reading SQL/JSON (Python a plus).
  • Collaboration & Communication: Tight alignment with Sales/BDR; crisp storytelling, exec-ready reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Domain Plus (nice-to-have): Familiarity with trade credit insurance, collections, credit bureaus, or LEI workflows; experience with PLG/self-serve motions and BFSI events.
