Procurement Manager Job Description
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers to secure quality, cost-effective goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure collaboration and innovation.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Manage purchase orders in accordance with project timelines and requirements.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing fluctuations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project needs.
  • Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and prepare reports as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, follow-up, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations is a plus.
  • Professional certification in procurement is an advantage.
  • Experience with contract management and legal aspects of procurement.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
