Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned data governance professional to design, implement, and promote the adoption of Purview solutions across large-scale enterprise environments. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in managing and deploying Purview solutions for data governance, compliance, and risk management.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with end-to-end project management, technical execution, and bridging compliance requirements. You will develop and enforce data classification, labeling, and protection policies across various Microsoft ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deploy Purview solutions for data governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Develop and enforce data classification, labeling, and protection policies across various Microsoft ecosystems.
  • Configure and maintain DLP, insider risk management, records management, and eDiscovery within Purview.
  • Integrate Purview with Defender, Entra ID, Intune, and Exchange for comprehensive compliance enforcement.
  • Assess current data estate, identify gaps, and propose strategies for remediation.
  • Support cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management to enhance governance.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO, SOX, etc.).
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, training, and workshops for effective adoption.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Purview and its integrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, Data Governance, or Information Protection.
  • Practical expertise with Microsoft Purview, including Compliance Manager, DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and Records Management.
  • Proven track record with sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data classification frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, and SharePoint Online.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks and ability to map them into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Good to Have (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate or Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender and the wider M365 security ecosystem.
  • Exposure to large-scale deployments, migrations, and compliance rollouts.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, and governance workflows.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
