The Role:

We seek an exceptional Backend Developer Intern who will spearhead server-side application logic, database design, and API development using Node.js + Express.js. This position involves building secure RESTful APIs, developing and maintaining server-side applications using popular frameworks like Django, Flask, or Laravel, and implementing authentication systems with Firebase free tier or PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build secure RESTful APIs leveraging Node.js + Express.js
  • Develop and maintain server-side applications utilizing frameworks like Django, Flask, or Laravel
  • Implement robust authentication mechanisms utilizing Firebase free tier or PostgreSQL
  • Create efficient data models and database queries
  • Integrate third-party services and external APIs when necessary
  • Document API endpoints and backend functionality for front-end developers

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in one or more backend frameworks (Node.js/Express, Django, Flask, Laravel)
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript, Python, PHP, or Ruby
  • Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL (Supabase), SQLite, or NoSQL databases
  • Understanding of RESTful API design principles
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms
  • Awareness of security best practices
