Backend Software Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Software Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing efficient back-end systems that support our maritime operations platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in Python, including debugging and performance analysis. Experience in developing web applications and APIs is also necessary, along with knowledge of frameworks such as Django or Flask.

  • Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and efficient software architecture.
  • Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from conceptualization through development and deployment.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development practices, including writing comprehensive unit tests.
  • Build reusable, modular code and libraries to promote efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance, speed, and scalability.
  • Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong programming foundation in Python.
  • Experience in developing web applications and APIs.
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as Django or Flask.
  • Experience in all phases of development – requirement gathering, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Source Code Repository and experience working with Git.
  • Hands on experience in DB design & Architecture with focus on performance.
  • Experience working on Apache, Nginx, or any other web/app server.
  • Experience in containerization tool -Docker.
  • Hands on experience in enterprise level deployment and scaling.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
