Job Overview:

The Placement Director will play a key role in shaping the career trajectories of students by coordinating with industries for vocational training and on-campus/off-campus interviews. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to ensure seamless collaboration between students, faculty members, and industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate with industries for vocational training and on-campus/off-campus interviews to secure jobs for meritorious students.
  2. Conduct thorough background checks on students seeking internships or externships to guarantee they meet education and job requirements.
  3. Collaborate with industry professionals to design and deliver webinars, lectures, and workshops for student training and development.
  4. Develop a Placement Preparation Module to guide students in campus placement preparation.
  5. Monitor and review student performance in the corporate sector, gathering feedback from companies to enhance our programs.
  6. Organize workshops and seminars for manager and faculty member training, as well as soft skills and interview-facing skills training for students.
  7. Prepare comprehensive Placement reports after drives/job fairs and strengthen collaborations with industries and associations.
  8. Maintain regular communication with college-level TPOs to understand placement requirements and develop a Management Information System (MIS) on placement of passed-out students.
  9. Provide personalized guidance to students in developing successful job search strategies and work closely with faculty members, department heads, and administration to integrate career planning with academic curriculum.
  10. Offer resources and activities to facilitate the career-planning process and act as an interface among students, alumni, and the employment community.
  11. Enhance awareness in students regarding future career options and conduct regular student assessments.
