Job Opportunity: Chief Quality and Sustainability Officer

The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in influencing strategic decisions, ensuring adherence to global quality standards and sustainability goals, as well as compliance to international standards and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Act as the voice of quality in the leadership team; drive decision-making to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Develop partnerships with global quality leaders to deploy best-in-class quality systems.
  • Develop and execute the quality strategy, vision, roadmap, and objectives aligned with business objectives, maintaining effective quality management systems (QMS) for the region aligned with global quality strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements applicable to our company from time to time.
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives to improve quality, customer satisfaction, and business performance.
  • Establish robust processes for quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), audits, inspections, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Own audit readiness, certification, and regulatory compliance across functions.
  • Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor, measure, and report on quality performance across the organization, lead preventive and corrective actions.
  • Champion a quality-centric culture, fostering continuous learning and quality ownership at every organizational level.
  • Collaborate closely with local and global stakeholders and external partners to align on quality expectations and embed quality into all processes.
  • Build and lead a high-performing quality team; mentor and develop talent.
  • Conduct regular training and awareness programs to ensure compliance and drive behavioral change.
  • Assess risks proactively and implement robust risk management and mitigation strategies.
Sustainability & ESG Execution
  • Localize and drive the company's sustainability and ESG framework in alignment with global priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Indian environmental regulations, standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and ESG reporting norms.
  • Promote energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, and sustainable procurement at project sites.
  • Collaborate with procurement, HSE, engineering, and project execution teams to integrate sustainability across operations.
  • Lead reporting on sustainability performance for India region, including regulatory, internal, and customer requirements.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Quality Management, Environment Science, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in quality, sustainability, or EHS roles, preferably across multiple industries (e.g., manufacturing, automotive, automation, etc.). At least 5 years in leadership role in a multinational company.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, compliance standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO/TS 16949, GMP, etc.), and industry regulations.
  • Certified Quality Professional (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ CQE/CQM/OE) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in leading quality transformations, continuous improvement initiatives, and large teams.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis, statistical process control, and risk management methodologies.
